Off for a weekend ride here's some tips to assist:-
1. Ensure you have the necessary tools. Items you should always carry include Pump / Tyre Levers / Tube / Multi-tool / Chain Brake
2. Hydration - Hydration is a key in any ride. Take plenty of water and electrolyte replacements. Keep your fluid levels up as well as food (aim for 1 litre per hour). Take energy bars and bananas.
3. Communication - Tell others where you plan on riding and what time you are to be expected home. Take a mobile phone.
4. Regular Services - Ensure your bike is regularly serviced to avoid damage.
5. Keep it clean. Clean bikes work better. (Note do NOT pressure wash or spray with CRC)
